A short video explaining why and how to use plurilingual approaches, such as translation and translanguaging  when teaching second language vocabulary. A sample activity is detailed, which teachers can modify according to their context. Tagalog, English, and French are used in the sample task.

Paper Presentation

The pre-recorded presentation I gave at the 2021 annual conference of the American Association for Applied Linguistics. The presentation provides an overview of my Master's research project: its context, questions, methods, and results. I conclude with pertinent implications for second language classroom practices and policies, and for teacher education. This research was funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
